Bakopa(Bacopa Monnieri) is an Ayurvedic herb. It is a lush green creeping plant that grows up to 40 cm and thrives mainly in wet and swampy areas and is recognisable by its small leaves and white flowers.

In Ayurveda, bakopa is also called the "herb of all herbs" for its beneficial properties. It is used as an ingredient in both nutritional supplements and cosmetics - it is excellent for hair and scalp care.

Use

Tips for use:

• Hair Mask: Mix 2-3 tablespoons of bakopa with warm water. Leave on for 15 minutes, then apply to damp hair and scalp. Cover your hair with a nylon shower cap, wrap in a towel and leave on for 30-40 minutes, then rinse with water.
• Ayurvedic mask for shiny and strong hair: Mix equal amounts of bhringaraja powder, amalaki and bakopa with warm water. Leave on for 15 minutes and then apply to wet, clean hair from roots along the length of the hair. Cover your hair with a nylon shower cap, wrap in a towel and leave on for about 45 minutes. Wash your hair with warm water.
