Organic almond flour

Organic almond flour - a great gluten-free alternative to cereal flours!

Dragon Superfoods organic almond flour is derived from ground organic blanched almonds (Prunus dulcis). These are actually the edible kernels of the fruit that grow on the almond tree and are used both in cooking and in cosmetics, where almond oil is particularly popular for skin and hair care.

Like almonds, almond flour is known for its nutritious properties, as it contains lots of protein and fibre, making it a popular ingredient in the kitchen, especially for vegan and vegetarian diets.

It also boasts a low carbohydrate content of only 6g per 100g, and is therefore often used by people on LHCF and KETO diets or anyone who wants to consume less carbohydrates. Since it is gluten-free, it also serves well as an alternative to regular white flour and other cereal flours.

Almond flour is an excellent source of protein and because of its pleasant almond aroma it is suitable for preparing a variety of savoury and sweet dishes such as bread, pancakes, pasta, pastries, biscuits...
