Bitter gourd - tincture

Bitter gourd has a long tradition of use in the Ayurvedic tradition.

Bitter gourd(Momordica charantia) is a tropical fruit, also known as bitter apple, bitter gourd, bitter cucumber, etc. It is used for cooking in Indian and Chinese cuisine and is added to various beers in China for its characteristic bitter taste.

Most commonly, dried fruit peels and dried leaves are used to prepare teas and tinctures. Because of its positive effects on the human body, it is also extremely popular in the Ayurvedic tradition, where it is known as karela.

Bioherba tincture is made from bitter gourd soaked in glycerin, which gives it a sweet taste. Glycerin is a colourless, odourless liquid, slightly thicker than water.

A daily dose of the tincture is equivalent to 750 mg of bitter gourd.
