Shatavari is a plant that grows mainly in Sri Lanka, India and the Himalayas. It is a perennial that grows up to 7 metres and has white scented flowers and red berries.

Shatavari represents an important part of Ayurveda, as the word in the ancient Indian language (Sanskrit) means "hundred roots" and the term also represents a "hundred-married woman", showing the plant's influence on fertility.

Consumption of shatavari is recommended for women and men. Men usually consume it on:

Women mostly use it for:
